Drying with fluid bed technology –

In conjunction with variable processing temperatures between 20 and 130 °C, an intensive exchange of heat and material in the fluid bed ensures uniform drying without thermal damage. Fluid bed technology is perfect for drying powders, granulates or extrudates and prolongs the shelf-life of these products considerably.

Optimum development of the active substances

In the fluid bed processor the product is dried in a controlled environment. This results in a reproducible dry product with precisely defined structures and parameters. Nutritional properties such as the vitamin content remain unchanged.

Rapid drying

Thanks to the turbulence in the fluid bed, the drying process is particularly efficient and time-saving. All fluidizable goods in pieces, for example extrudates, are dried to the desired residual moisture.

Gentle drying of sensitive ingredients

Since the drying temperature can be selected freely, the products are normally subjected only to moderate heat between 30 and 50 °C. No thermal damage occurs – an aspect that is especially relevant when drying heat-sensitive products like enzymes, flavourings, vitamins or micro-organisms.
