Today’s safety requirements in the food industry and the life science sector are stricter than ever before: even the smallest omissions may have immense consequences for a company’s reputation. We are aware of this responsibility, and with strict quality control and quality assurance we take every precaution in order to ensure you the greatest possible safety. And not without success, as leading enterprises in the food and life science industries have confirmed.
Your product in safe hands
With the aid of our centrally organized and monitored quality control system we ensure that all products leaving our factory are in top condition. The first step is a strict receiving inspection of the raw materials. Further features of our quality system include documentation according to stringent QA criteria, regular auditing and employee training.
We are responding to the increasingly sophisticated safety and quality requirements for food with Food Safety System Certification (FSSC), a standard that is recognized worldwide. The standard includes DIN EN ISO 22000, ISO/TS 22002-1 and Part 1, and therefore combines the advantages of both a management and a food safety system.
We make constant efforts to raise our high safety standards even further. When new requirements come into force we invest in technology that conforms to these standards. SternMaid therefore meets the latest requirements in the field of allergen management and kosher, halal or organic standards as well as complying with the current regulations on hygiene and food safety at all times. Our production areas are air conditioned and can only be entered through a hygiene air lock.
Special quality control in the pharmaceutical section
We have prepared two of our production areas to meet the requirements of our pharmaceutical customers throughout. It is there that we make excipients under the conditions of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP). In implementing GMP we largely follow the specifications of ICH Q7 and Part II of the EU GMP Guide.
