Our services extend from raw materials sourcing, to blending and packaging, to warehousing and logistics.
Our production facility in Wittenburg near Hamburg is one of the most advanced of its kind, and has been expanded and upgraded several times in response to customer wishes. Today, at our 60,000 sqm site we run state-of-the-art and certified lines for a wide variety of blending orders, and lines for packaging product in different kinds of shelf-ready retail packs. There is also a special warehouse where we safely store sensitive powder blends for you for call-off orders.
We can do more than just blending. At the centre of SternMaid operations is the fluidised bed plant in which we enhance your products. It combines a wide range of technical possibilities, and is configured specifically for the many and varying requirements of contract manufacturing. Whether by drying, granulating, agglomerating or coating, we give your blend that special something, for example a functional protective coating or microencapsulation of vitamins and micronutrients so they are released only where they benefit the body. We also have a small laboratory-scale fluidised bed plant. With it, we make small sample batches for testing before going to industrial scale later on. If desired, we also offer help in developing products that make use of our fluidised bed capabilities.
1999
SternMaid öffnet in Wittenburg seine Tore als Produktionsstandort für pulverförmige Lebensmittel und setzt Maßstäbe in der Mischtechnik
2012
Eine multifunktionale Wirbelschichtanlage sowie eine kleinere Pilot-Anlage ermöglichen die Herstellung von Granulaten in verschiedenen Verfahren und sind ein großer Schritt in die Zukunft. Im selben Jahr Ausbau durch eine neue Mischanlage für Vitamine und andere Mikronährstoffe.
2013
SternMaid goes America: In Aurora/Chicago öffnet ein weiteres Werk mit einer Mischanlage sowie unterschiedlichen Abfüllanlagen für Industrie und Endverbraucherverpackungen.
2016
Der Markt für pulverförmige Lebensmittel im Endkonsumentenbereich wächst stark. SternMaid finalisiert in Wittenburg ein zweites Werk für Nahrungsergänzungsmittel und Diätprodukte und erweitert sein Angebot um die Abfüllung von Kleinverpackungen wie Dosen, Beuteln und Sachets.
2017
Für Kunden auf dem südostasiatischen Markt entsteht in Malaysia eine hochmoderne Container-Premixanlage für Lebensmittelzutaten.
2019
Nach neun Ausbaustufen ist das Werk in Wittenburg mit rund 350 Beschäftigten und einer Mischkapazität von 50.000 Tonnen der größte Produktionsstandort der Stern-Wywiol Gruppe.
2020
In Wittenburg geht eine dritte Sachet-Anlage in Betrieb. Die High-Speed Triplex-Anlage erhöht die Abfüllkapazität für Nahrungsergänzungsmittel auf jährlich insgesamt über 100 Millionen Sachets.
