Our nine new trainees had an exciting time on their first few days at work starting on August 2nd. This year, for the first time, the Welcome Week took place on a hybrid basis, so that the young colleagues were able to gather many new impressions both online and offline at the start of their training.
After the welcome and orientation day, the trainees continued online: The Food Academy workshop focused on values and expectations in training at SternMaid and, not least, on training in the age of Corona. The highlight: All participants received a Lego Serious Play set with Lego bricks for the online workshop. Among other things, they had to use these to build one of their properties and their expectations of the training period.
At the end of the week and after two training days for Office and MS Teams, all the new trainees met again in Wittenburg to visit the FlourWorld museum and the production facility – but above all, to look back together on the first week and digest all the new information over a delicious meal.
